Spring is the time of plenty when the most important food for birds, namely insects, is plentiful so what better birds to feature in Spring than flycatchers
The Spotted Flycatcher is the commoner, certainly in my area although is is declining. They will breed in gardens and become quite confiding.

The Pied Flycatcher prefers moister woodland. It can sometimes be attracted with nest boxes.
