Japan (February 2008) We enjoyed our first winter trip with Birdquest we had to repeat it. The cranes were just as good but the Eagles were better.
Spain Extremadura (April 2007 and July 2008) Hide photography (up to 15 hours at a stretch) of a small range of special birds; Bustards, Bee-eater and Roller mostly. Then baking in the Spanish summer for birds visiting water
South Africa (December 2006) Going west of Cape Town to see the Gannets then east to observe Blue Cranes, the national bird, in their breeding area.
Brazilian Pantanal and Iguacu (August 2006) The fantastic waterfowl and raptors of the Pantanal wetland followed by the bird-rich falls at Iguazu.
Oman (October 2005) Wintering waders and spectacular passage raptors in a very friendly part of the Middle East.
Spitsbergen (June 2005) Cruising in the Land of the Ice Bear with splendid Auks, fabulous scenery and much history
