We visited northern Scotland for a few days last week with Crested Tit our main target as we're too far south for them here in Perth. As can be seen we succeeded in photographing the sweet little bird. They were very active and eager to feed so came readily to a feeder and perch. The forests further north also have good populations of Red Squirrels which we enjoyed. On higher ground we enjoyed Mountain Hares and we spotted both Goshawk and Red Kite, although failed on eagles and Snow Buntings. Once home however we caught up with Snow Buntings on the Angus coast. |
