High summer is a difficult time to find and photograph birds; perhaps Seabirds are the exception.Mostly they have young to bring up or are in moult. For that reason, we normally devote our energies to insects. That said, insects have been in short supply this year so we are always open to a change of plan. Mammals need not be neglected though; usually that means getting out early and late in the day but I found this hedgehog crossing the road in early afternoon. In fact it was crossing a side road, heading to the main road so after taking a couple of pictures I gathered it up and deposited it on the other side. Good Luck my spiky friend. |
